working with your physicians
In the practice of dental sleep medicine, it is necessary to have a definitive diagnosis of the sleep problem by a physician.
I work closely with sleep medicine specialists, with primary physicians, and with sleep clinics. It is important to communicate closely with the medical community in order to be sure all interested parties are aware of treatment provided.
The physician recommending the sleep appliance will always be notified of treatment start, progress, and when appliance adjustment is complete. The physician can then decide whatever follow-up they require.
